Summary : Ok for a low budget speaker system

When i received this, i was really excited, for two main reasons, i got it quite cheap and also i would at last have a decent speaker system, but i was soon downhearted. The speakers are ok but not great, thats being positive. The little craddle things that come with it to plug in your ipod are a bit cheap and i have to have mine at a certain diaganal position for the ipod to connect with the speakers. The alarm feature is good because you can wake up to the radio. It is listed as portable. it's pretty chunky and i would not use it go on holiday.
Overall it's an ok budget item. but there are so much better sets of speakers out there if your prepared to pay a little bit more.

This really is the ultimate alarm clock! To wake up to your fave song on your Ipod every morning is sheer decadence and to have the choice of buzzer alarm or radio alarm is handy too. It gets louder and louder in the morning unless you touch a button so its a very effective alarm clock and also has a very large snooze button on the top-handy! This is a glorified docking station, and charges any Ipod, together with being a handy Soundwall so really has many more useful applications that a convential soundwall. The bright blue digital display has a dimmer facility;useful as in a dark bedroom the bright display prevents you from sleeping as it lights up the entire room its that bright! The sound quality is first class and offers a good depth of sound. It even sets its own clock by cleverly tuning itself into radio stations and taking the time from the rds on the radio! clever! The previous reviewer does mention a few limitations but these dont bother me at all. This is a very cool looking piece and overall meets my needs perfectly. Your Ipod when docked gets lit up by a blue light making it look very swish! Highly recommended!

I bought this item a couple of months ago. I do not find it to be particularly user friendly. The volume control in particular is very temperamental and the rest of the controls are very fiddly. After two months I still have not found out how to turn off the second alarm setting. I do not thin that this product is worth the effort to use it

Summary : Fantastic little clock radio..

Brilliant machine. I purchased this recently as my old one packed up, and I am very happy with it. It looks modern, and stylish. All the buttons are easily found, and very easy to use.

The large and bright green clock is very clear and easy to see at night. Setting up the clock is easy, and for those of you who are fussy, you can even set it to the exact second.

There are two independent alarms, one for buzzer, and one for the radio, although I much prefer the radio to the loud beep beep of the buzzer. I'm a tad disappointed there aren't 'two' radio alarms, on this you can only choose radio, buzzer, or both but that's not a problem as you can set them for different times anyway. Oh, and there's a BIG snooze button right at the front for those extra minutes in the morning.

The reception from the radio is as good as you can expect from Sony, very clear and without any crackling. Quite loud too for a clock radio.

Great value for money, very stylish, and funky.

on the website these speakers look sturdy n well built when in actual fact there a thin plastic n feel very "made in china"...but looks arent everything! the sound qaulity ok isnot fabulous but what u would expect from a product of this price...thgere is a buzzing noise fromm it but once you turn the ipod on its drowned out...the speakers come with 4 or 5 bases to slot in so it can hold the ipod securely without any danger of breakage... if you want a sturdy fantastic quality set of speakers then i wouldnt suggest these but if your lookin for a set just for general use wether in the bedroom or kitchen or out and about (oh thats one of the things i did like...u can put batteries in and take the speakers out and about unlike many other sets) then this is a perfect set.

Summary : Great Alarm Clock, would have been better with a battery in it.

I love the features of this radio. The sound quality is good, I like the way you can adjust the brightness and the 2 alarms are great for couples who have 2 seperate wake-up times.
My only gripe is that after a power failure you have to re-program the whole clock, including all you pre-set radio stations. A simple back-up battery could have prevented this.

Summary : Does the job

Main factor when buying a DAB clock radio? A display that doesn't bathe your whole room in blue light all night - and finally I found it in the Gemini 26. Had a Bug, it bugged me. Got a Sony, had to put masking tape over the display. The display on this brightens and darkens according to the light available - in the dark you don't notice it's there.

Four alarms are handy, meaning you don't have to re-set the alarm at the weekend.

There's only half a dozen or so presets available, but who listens to more than half a dozen radio stations anyway? And the aerial may just be the thin cable style, ie not telescopic, but it holds stations real well.

Okay, audio quality isn't wonderful - but I don't need pumping bass in the bedroom, just some sounds to send me to sleep and wake me again. The Gemini does everything I want it to do.

Summary : Fair, but no cigar

Sound quality is good; looks style good: the main selling point is the fade of volume in sleep mode, which is a great idea and works OK but is totally spoilt by a click through the speakers as it cuts off, waking you up! 2nd unit tried, both suffered from this fault (1st didn't fade at all). Good idea; pity it's spoilt.

Summary : what's the problem?

After reading the reviews I thought to try for myself. So, after trudging off to my local Asda store(where I first saw it and saw it before reading these reviews) I took the chance and just bought it. I love it! I have experienced no problems. I also have a plasterboard wall and have experienced no buzzing whatsoever. just pure, clear and crystal sound. Have Bush taken the prior reviews into account and sorted them? Anyway, give it a go. Go out and get some Bush today. You never know, you just might like it.

Summary : Good but not perfect

For the money, this appears to be a good product (that said I don't have any experience of other docking stations). The build quality is good and it sounds OK - good enough for listening to in the bedroom anyway. The buttons feel good and the LED display is nice. Overall I am very happy with this item.

Things which could be improved (and really easy too I would think)

1. The LED display can be dimmed, which is a nice touch. BUT, it doesn't save the dimmed setting, so you need to do this each time you use the docking station - why?

2. The volume, on minimum the sound is still quite loud, not uncomfortably, but still higher than I would like, expecially as I listen to this at night time. I found this with my ipod too, so maybe I have sensitive ears or the volume is controlled from the Ipod - not convinced.

3. The remote control, a great feature but badly implemented. Yes, even when you are next to the docking station, it is handy not to have to reach out to change track. The remote control is not backlit\glo-in-the-dark and the layout choice is not very intiutive.

4. AM reception - maybe it is just mine, but I couldn't get a decent AM signal, even with the aerial fully extended.

So overall not a bad item, well priced but a few - easily solved - problems.

Would I recommend - yes with the above explanation.
